Muscular Skeletal problems are dealt with on a daily basis in clinic, for pain relief acupuncture has been shown to produce excellent results, no matter if its neck pain , upper or lower back pain, muscular aches, arthritic symptoms, some times with very quick results compared to other forms of pain relief, you should maybe consider seek the advice and treatment from you registered Acupuncturist, a word of warning though it has become more and more common to see other health care providers offering to perform what they call "Dry Needling" this is offered by Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Massage therapists , even Chiropodists, at best these people have done a 2 day course and are given a cirtificate to say they are qualified to perform needling on patients, they are not registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority, they are not registered to perform Acupuncture, they do not adhere to the Skin Penetration Act which all  AHPRA registered  Acupuncturist must abide by, you are risking serious injury if you allow anyone to perform this Dry Needling on you without asking their qualifications, all registered Acupuncturist must complete a minimum of 4 years training and study at university level and most have done an internship in a teaching hospital in China before they are allowed to perform acupuncture on their patients.
