Body Temperature Chart
The body temperature chart is a wonderful tool that gives a very clear picture of what is happening right throughout the menstrual cycle. Each morning before getting out of bed the temperature is taken and then registered on the chart for that day, a note is also taken of any unusual occurences have happened, for example feelings of nausea or unusual headaches, tenderness in the breasts etc.At midcycle just prior to ovulation there will be a sudden drop in temperature of between 0.2 to 0.6 of a degree there will also generally be seen a change in the cervical secretions from wet and slippery to a more thicker and stretchy consistancy, these two occurrances indicate ovulation is about to occurr and that this is the most fertile time in the cycle.
